Shenneng ansogu power (Ghana) Co., Ltd. was jointly invested and built by Shenzhen Energy Group Co., Ltd. and China Africa Development Fund in 2007. The company is located in boon City, Greater Accra Province, Republic of Ghana, West Africa, near the north of the Gulf of Guinea, covering an area of 200000 square meters, about 29 kilometers away from the capital Accra. The project is divided into two phases, with a total capacity of 560000 kW gas steam combined cycle generator units. The installed capacity of phase I project is 200000 kW, which was completed and put into operation in 2010; The installed capacity of phase II project is 360000 kW, which was put into operation in 2017.

The project is the first gas-fired power generation project invested by Chinese enterprises in Africa and the first independent power generation enterprise project in Ghana. As the largest thermal power plant in Ghana, the annual power generation capacity can reach 3 billion kwh, which can meet 15% of Ghana's power demand. The company's efficient, environment-friendly, reliable power supply and competitive electricity price provide a strong guarantee for Ghana's economic development and take-off, and has won many important awards from Ghana's Ministry of energy, West African chamber of Commerce and industry and other departments and institutions.
